Relocation Support Subsidy

What is it?
The relocation support subsidy is a reimbursement of relocation costs for doctors who take up practice for at least two years in rural and remote communities in South Australia.

Who can apply?
The relocation support subsidy is available to rural doctors who have relocated to a South Australian rural community.

How much?
The subsidy, paid on a cost incurred basis, is up to $10,000 (AUD) for an individual doctor and up to $15,000 (AUD) where both partners (e.g. husband and wife) will be practising in the community. The relocation support subsidy is intended to assist with the cost of moving to a practice in a rural community.

Applicants may also be eligible for a $3,000 (AUD) finance and legal support grant, to access professional accounting, legal and practice management advice associated with relocating to a new community.
