Clinical Skills Trips
Rural Doctors Workforce Agency offers medical students a chance to experience rural medicine through our Clinical Skills Trips. The trips provide medical students with first hand exposure to rural medicine, including a tour of the local health services and a visit to the local practice. Students will have the opportunity to increase their clinical skills and experience the rural lifestyle and support networks that are available to them should they choose to work in a rural environment in the future.
The activities planned for 2008 are:
Riverland – Weekend trip to Barmera with a recreational program including a kayak adventure in Lake Bonney
(available to AURHA medical members only).
Mannum – One day weekend trip visiting the local practice and participating in clinical skills sessions with the local GPs
(available to AURHA and FURHS medical members).
