Introduction to GAMSAT workshop

What is it?

The workshop will include the following:

  • An overview of the GAMSAT and the following three sections
    • Section I: Humanities and Social Sciences
    • Section II: Written Communication
    • Section III: Biological and Physical Sciences
  • Tips on how to approach multiple choice questions
  • Time management strategies
  • A chance to sit a simulated GAMSAT, under test-like conditions, with review/answers after the test
  • Overview of the application process into Flinders University

* Please be aware that we are unable to provide participants with copies of the test materials used or extra study material. This workshop does not teach the assumed knowledge that may be required by the GAMSAT.

Education Development Centre, Hindmarsh.


When is it?

The date for the 2011 workshop will be announced in late 2010


Time?

8.45am to 5.30pm


Who can attend?
Australian citizens and permanent residents in SA, who have a rural background and NT residents who have registered to sit the GAMSAT in March 2011. 

Applicants from non-rural and international rural backgrounds are welcome to apply, however places are limited.

Applicants are required to be Australian citizens or permanent residents.

Free – this workshop is funded by the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency
