Lyn is the Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency. Lyn has an understanding of the health and social issues facing rural and remote communities, gained through working in country health and immediately prior to that through her working as a Regional Manager in Families and Community Services.

Karen is the Medical Consultant and provides medical input and expertise in the development and management of the business and strategic planning processes, workforce policy and all programs within the Agency. Karen is directly responsible for the areas of recruitment, professional & personal development and the After Hours Program.

Meg’s background is in policy development and service delivery in the areas of organisational development and vocational education and training, at the state and federal levels of the public sector. Meg is responsible for the Recruitment and Workforce Support areas within the RDWA.

Julie provides support and advice to rural practices, hospitals and communities on medical recruitment issues. Julie manages the assessment process of all applicants on behalf of the RDWA Recruitment Committee & facilitates the recruitment and placement process of all International Medical Graduates in liaison with a number of agencies. Julie may be contacted by applicants to discuss the application process or by rural practices who are currently or intending to recruit a GP to their community.

Angela manages the recruitment of suitably qualified doctors to rural South Australia and the promotion of rural general practice as a positive career choice. Angela provides support and advice to rural practices, hospitals and communities on medical recruitment issues. Other roles include administration of a range of workforce grants, including the Rural Retention Payments.

Sarah Cox – Locum Service Practice Liaison

Sarah develops and maintains effective working relationships with all RDWA staff and with relevant stakeholders, including external consultants, rural general practitioners and Rural Divisions of General Practice, rural practice managers and members of rural communities.

Alison Day – Manager, Attraction & Retention

Alison manages the Attraction and Retention team. The team is responsible for working with and supporting high school students planning to study medicine, university medical students, interns and registrars. The team also manages the Fellowship program, the CPD program, clinical placements and the RMFN program.

Helen manages the Fellowship Support program, referring International Medical Graduate doctors to Regional GP Training Providers for assistance with preparing for their Fellowship exams. She is also responsible for co-ordinating the Agency’s initiatives with GP Registrars.

Bonnie is the first contact for the human resource administration of the Locum Service medical personnel. Bonnie has previously worked as a Registered Nurse.
