The Rural Doctors Workforce Agency (RDWA) provides a range of student initiatives that aim to increase awareness and exposure to rural and remote medicine in South Australia. These initiatives primarily focus on supporting rural origin secondary students, undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

The Rural Doctors Workforce Agency’s involvement with medical students includes supporting and liaising with the university rural health clubs to offer medical, and in some cases, nursing students opportunities to participate in activities and events.
